Holland Casino’s strategy for 2005 – 2008
Holland Casino’s business strategy is consistent with the policy objectives of central government, laid down in the Betting and Gaming Act, which can be summarized in three key points:
• Consumer protection
• Prevention and reduction of problem gambling
• Fighting illegal gambling and crime.
Holland Casino bases its policy on the following core principles: consolidating its own position, targeting a particular market position, making its organization more flexible, strengthening its management, appropriate revenues, cost awareness and social responsibility. In working out and implementing its strategy, Holland Casino continually seeks to strike the right balance between a strong social responsibility and the best possible return.
The aspects that reflect Holland Casino’s strong social responsibility include:
- providing a fair and secure gaming environment to all guests, which is achieved in part by working with well-trained, vigilant staff and camera surveillance;
- an internationally acclaimed and authoritative problem gambling prevention policy which is optimized where possible on an ongoing basis;
- using first-rate gaming materials that are constantly tested for accuracy and reliability by several regulatory authorities and/or testing institutions on behalf of the government;
- guaranteeing the safety and well-being of guests and staff and ensuring a high degree of quality and service.
