Range of games

The gaming opportunities offered by Holland Casino represent a mix of table games and slot machines. At the end of 2004, the casinos had a total of 379 gaming tables, with a further 374 ‘Multi-Roulette’ terminals allowing remote players to join in the games played at the tables. The casinos had a total of 6,278 slot machines, including those which are only used on busier days to avoid long waiting times and disappointed guests. Worldwide, many casinos have opted to implement a dramatic reduction in the number of gaming tables on site. Holland Casino, on the other hand, has maintained a reasonably stable number of tables, with a shift in the games offered to include a greater number of card games. The roulette tables are more easily accessible thanks to the Multi-Roulette terminals.
In 2004, the Black Jack variant ‘Perfect Pairs’ was added to the range of games available, following a successful trial. Holland Casino Scheveningen launched a trial of another new game, Three Card Poker.
In the case of the slots, research reveals that guests seek ‘entertainment’ in combination with longer playing time for their stake. Holland Casino introduced new and attractive slots in 2004. They include reel slots, video games, bingo games and themed games, with low stakes of 1 or 2 euro cents.

Under the name Gaming Enterprise Management Solutions (GEMS), Holland Casino developed software in house in 2004, which provides automatic access to the management information relating to the slots (takings, turnover and the number of games played).
